Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Wildfire Prevention Event at Skyhawk Park
Join CVNL and CA Climate Action Corps for a Day of Service in honor of the activists Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta!
Volunteer to remove invasive species and help reduce wildfire risk in the area.
When:
Saturday, April 1st from 9am - 12pm
Where:
Skyhawk Park, Santa Rosa, CA 95409
Location details: Park on one of the side streets by the park and meet at the intersection of Mountain Hawk and Great Heron. Our sign-in table will be set up by the Skyhawk Park sign.
Volunteer Duties and Requirements:
- Volunteer with your family and friends to remove invasive species at Skyhawk Park.
- Please wear long sleeves, long pants, close-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and sun glasses. There may be poison oak in the areas where we are working.
- Please bring your own gloves if you have them. We will provide tools and extra gloves.
- We will have some snacks and water but please bring a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste.
- Volunteers must be age 10 or older.

Volunteers age 14 - 17 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver but can participate without a parent/guardian present.
Volunteers under 14 must have parent/guardian present at the event.
