9/11 Weekend of Service Wildfire Prevention Event: Volunteers Needed
Help protect your community from wildfire and volunteer to remove flammable broom and weeds this 9/11 Weekend of Service & Remembrance!
When: Saturday, September 10th from 8am - 1pm
Where: We will meet at 1634 Rockville Road, Fairfield, CA 94534 by the Cordelia Fire Station at 8am and walk over together to where we will be pulling weeds and broom.
Volunteer Requirements
- The vegetation may be difficult to remove so be prepared to get a good workout in. The work may be physically challenging but also very rewarding!
- Please wear long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes, a hat, sunglasses (protective eye-wear), and sunscreen. Bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
- Bring gloves if you have them. We will also have gloves and safety vests for you.
- There will be water and sandwiches at the site!
